Livestock

Piggery:

The Center has also a piggery of 10 compartments which can shelter ten pigs and their piglets. We produced about 90 to 100 piglets per year.

The piggery also serves the dual function of producing manure which is used in the nursery for the amelioration of the nursery soil for improved plant production and integration in farms

Apiary

The apiary of the Centre consists of 50 Kenyan hives which has a production capacity of about 500 liters of honey per year and at least 20 to 50 kg of wax. MIFACIG is promoting bee-keeping and bee-loving trees as well as sales of honey by-products.
