MIFACIG support on Garden Clubs |
|
Thanks to the support of New England Biolabs Foundation MIFACIG has been involved in training young people in 18 primary and secondary schools. Garden clubs have been created in these schools in Belo, Fundong and Njinikom. Also about six hundred pupils have been trained in gardening activities. This program has been of tremendous positive benefit to the targeted youths of these school through students acquiring agricultural skills and also increase in their incomes and nutrition through the sales and consumption of this farm produces. Through MIFACIG’s support in the form of irrigation equipments, provision of improved planting materials and technical backstopping, this program has been so successful that we are wishing to extend it to other young people in communities, if funds are available.
