Achievements

OVER 425 .164 TREES HAVE BEEN PRODUCED BY MIFACIG SINCE 2002 TO 2016

Over 10.000 farmers and students have been trained since 2003 to 2016.

MIFACIG has been involved in numerous meetings of sensitization on agro-forestry, HIV/Aids and environmental protection:

2005: 752 farmers sensitized on kola nuts market opportunities: production, post-harvest techniques and marketing;
2006: 54 women sensitized on agro-forestry and poverty alleviation;
2006: 782 people sensitized and trained on integration of agro-forestry in coffee farms (NWCA, GIZ, ICP, MIFACIG);
2006: 75 pupils from 7 schools sensitized on agro-forestry and environmental protection;
2007: 35 youths sensitized on sustainable developments;
2007: 27 youths sensitized on tree domestication;
2008: 65 Women sensitized on literacy and community development;
2009: 135 people sensitized on World Environment Day;
2010: 120 youths sensitized on HIV/Aids, job creation and drug abuse;
2011: 60 people in 4 communities sensitized on watershed protection;
2012: 3500 pupils and students sensitized on Earth Day in 03 schools;
2013: 75 people sensitized on World Environment Day;
2014: 85 students from 3 schools sensitized on sustainable livelihoods activities;
2015: 50 students from the University of Bamenda, Technical school of Agriculture, Regional College of Agriculture and National Poly technique Bambui, sensitize on vegetative method of production.
2016: 40 students from Forestry school of Mbalmayo, university of Bamenda, Technical school of Agriculture, Regional College of Agriculture and National Poly technique Bambui sensitized on sustainable livelihood and vegetative methods of production

TRAINING AND DEMONSTRATION FACILITIES

A tree nursery that produces over 100.000 planting materials every year,
Vegetative propagation unit with 06 non mist propagators for fruit trees and medicinal plants,
Plantain propagation unit with 5 production propagators and 1 wining propagator,
An Apiary with over 100 bee hives,
Organic vegetable and medicinal plants garden,
A compost production unit,
Two piggeries with a capacity of 100 piglets and a production unit with a capacity of 10 sows,
A stock plant section,
A multi-strata agro forestry plot,
An allocation for fish pond,
Intensive goat farming in paddocks,
Soil fertility improvement plots,
